The Mariposa Youth Basketball League is a non-profit, volunteer organization hoping to provide a quality basketball experience to the youth of Mariposa County.
MYBL is a competitive league with an emphasis on good sportsmanship, skill development, and learning the game of basketball.
Registration: Registration forms can be downloaded and printed here.
Fees: Registration fees are $50 per player when registered prior to our evaluation day, $60 after. No players will be excluded due to financial concerns, if you need a scholarship please return your registration form ASAP and write a brief note on form.
Evaluation Day: An evaluation day will be held to select teams. Teams will be chosen with intent to create the most even competition possible and to place participants at the appropriate level. There are no "cuts"; all players who wish to participate will be placed on a team.
Team Placement: Teams will be selected on evaluation day, so please be sure to show up for that evaluation day. Date will be posted on Home Page as well as on the registration forms. Players will be notified before Wednesday of the first week of games to notify them of team assignments.
Practices: Practice times, frequency, and locations will be determined based on gym availability, and will be run by the MYBL board and former MYBL participants.
Season: Season consists of approximately 9 games beginning in early January.
Games: All games are held at the MCHS gym. Game times TBA, schedule will be available here prior to first week of games and at the front door on game days.
Uniforms: Each player is required to wear unaltered team jerseys at all games. Basketball shorts are required, preferably black. All players are required to wear non-marring basketball shoes. No hats, jewelry, or watches allowed.
